Following is a concept note on The Doyens, an initiative to highlight and celebrate the

success stories of Educationists in Karnataka.

Concept Note: Over the years, Karnataka has established / positioned itself as the Mecca of
Education for aspiring students & parents from India and abroad. Karnataka has several
credentials to be proud about (For example: 1. The first private engineering college in India 2.
The oldest education group in India 3. The father of engineeringetc). The objective of this
initiative is to highlight & celebrate the success stories of Karnataka Education Sector, which will
include government initiatives (Central & State), regulatory departments initiatives and the
contribution from private sector.
