GSL 1

Bonjour to the chair and all the delegates in the house. Today we will
be (have been) discussing about the issue of livability in countries with
refugee exodus.

When we read or hear the term refugees we instantly start thinking

about the grief and misery they face but in France we think differently.
We have always been doing what is the best for the refuges around the
globe whether it was making policies or accepting the great plans given
by some great world leaders.

Even the Paris attacks didnt make us week but it made us stronger.
Before the attacks we promised to take 28000 refugees in two years
but eventually we have increased the number to 30000. There will be a
50 million euro investment to support housing for the refugees.

Some people say the tragic event of the Paris attacks have sown doubts
in their minds but for us it is a humanitarian duty to help the throngs
of refugees who have landed on European shores after fleeing conflict
and hardship in countries like Syria and Afghanistan.

For France just making plans will not help the people the people stuck
in the areas of arms conflict weather they are citizens of the same
country or the press reporters or the people of organizations working
for them. We need to make those plans working and join hands and
come together to help the needy and destitute.

I hope that this committee will provide the much needed intervention
to help resolve the problems of all the refugees across the globe.
Thank you
