Installation & Working document for Emil

Step 1:

Installation of Emil Setup file ,

Emil.msi

After the installation in the default drive , run the exe file of Emil.

Step 2:

Changing the directory path of Profiles & Sack. Use the same SACK directory of IDA,
Change the following in the above options,

1. Sack Path
2. Profile path
3. From where to copy sacks by default when selecting

Step 3:

The available sacks in the source location needs to be copied to the target location of
the Emil directories,

Click Tools -> Copy Sacks

You will able to see Sacks in source location select all by pressing CTRL & click OK,
Sacks will be transferred to their target location after this,

Step 4:

Before opening an *.emil or *.log file for parsing, a specific Sack & profile needs to be
chosen.
Click on Environment -> Change Sack & profile or CTRL +F5

You will see the following window popping out,

Choose the respective SACK as per your Node & Version, And choose the suitable
profile you are looking to parse. Then click load.

Now you should be able to parse your respective Log/emil files.
