Name: Daniela Monar

Quito is an exciting city but its expensive. There are lots of amazing places to see
in Quito. I visit museims and art galleries in my free time so Im never bored.
I got a room with a lovely Ecuadorian family here in Quito. Victor Monar is a teacher
and his wife Nancy is an architect. Theyve got a daughter Diana. She loves
skateboarding and playing tennis. They live in a quiet neighbourhood but there is a
metro station ten minutes walk from their house so its easy to get to the university.
I like my Ecuadorian Studies course at the university very much. Its really interesting
course and the teachers are all very helpful and friendly. My favourite class is
biology.
Ive got lots of new friends here in Quito. My best friend is Josselyn. Shes 21 and
shes from Riobamba in Ecuador and she also lives in my house with the Monar
family. We love going to the cinema together to see French and Italian films. After
the films we usually go to an Italian restaurant for a pizza. Wed like to see an opera
while were here in Quito but the tickets are very expensive.
