The Kite Runner

Remembering:
Who: Amir, Baba, Hassan, Soraya, Sohrab
What:
When: Kabul, Afghanistan 1963- 1981
Where: Afghanistan and Fremont, California

Understanding:
The story is about Amir, he lives in Kabul, Afghanistan with baba, his
father. They have two servant, Ali and his son, Hassan. Amir and Hassan are close
friend they both like kiting. Amir is not a loyal friend because he doesnt talk to
anyone that the accident of Hassan and he tells to his father that Hassan took the
watched. Ali and Hassan leave. Amir and his father, Baba he went out of the
country because of war. After many years Baba is passes away because for cancer,
he arranges Amirs marriage to Soraya. And before his father passes away,
someone called him in the phone, he tells that he needs back to Afghanistan, then
he tells to him that Hassan is his brother. Amir goes to Afghanistan and attempts
to rescue Sohrab. He fights Assef for the boy, who attempts suicide. Amir and
Soraya adopt Sohrab.

Applying:
The most moving controversial scene for this movie is when Amir witnesses
neighborhood bully Assef beat and rape Hassan; he does not help and, guilt-
stricken, tries to get Baba to send Hassan away.

Evaluating:
I think caused of problem is doesn't get nearly enough attention from his
father. Baba seems to dislike Amir he's weak and likes poetry instead of
bloodthirsty sports. And I think the solution in this movie is tell that Hassan and
Amir are siblings at the very start.
