This organization focuses on professional development and enhancing the skill sets of k-

12 physical education teachers and teacher-coach leaders. This organization supports

instructors, as well as help develop their skills. Teaching, motivating, and inspiring others

are all aspects of this organization. This organization advocates for properly educating

others about teaching physical education.

2. SHAPE America (https://www.shapeamerica.org//)

SHAPE Americas mission is to promote and support leadership, research, education, and

best practices in the professions that support creative, healthy, and active lifestyles. This

organization envisions a nation where all children are prepared to lead healthy,

physically active lives. They advocate for advancing professional practice as well as

prompting research related to health and physical education (physical activity, dance, and

sports).

3. Action for Healthy Kids (http://www.actionforhealthykids.org/ )

This organization is a national organization that has the largest volunteer network

fighting childhood obesity. This organization works with schools in order to provide

heathy and nutritious meals as well as proper PE to help students be active, be healthy,

and learn. Action for Healthy Kids advocates for school professionals, families and

communities to take action to help children develop healthy eating habits, more physical

activity, and a healthier school community overall.
