WORKSHEET # 3

Give your own insights on the following topic.

1. Attention of Learners

Attention of Learners is very important to teaching-learning process because it is the

passage of information. In which it should be used at the beginning, during and end of the
learning process because it sustains the learner's attention. When teachers caught the attention
of the learners, it means that they are interested. So while they are interested, they are focus
during the discussion and easily get and understand the lesson.

2. Social Maladjustment

An individual who is socially maladjusted (or more precisely Oppositional Defiant or

Conduct Disordered) typically display a persistent pattern of wilful refusal to meet even minimum
standards of conduct. Their behavior and values are often in conflict with society's standards.

Social Maladjustment are very common to children nowadays especially when they came
from another place. They really find very hard to adapt things easily or the inability to react
successfully and satisfactorily to the demands of one's environment.

3. Special children

This children are exceptional that need special needs in order to keep up with an average
person. I always believe in a saying that Not everyone can learn at the same way and at the
same time. They may be slow but they still can learn and we dont really know what they are
capable of. So we must nurture and take care them because maybe they will be a scientist or
the next Einstein in the future, we dont really know.
4. Differentiate between the Cognitive Theory of Jean Piaget to Benjamin Blooms Theory.

Cognitive development is Jean Piaget's theory. Just like what he always says, Thinking
is qualitatively different depending upon the developmental stage of a learner. Processes
include direct learning, social transmission, and maturation. Through a series of stages, Piaget
proposed four stages of cognitive development: the sensorimotor, preoperational, concrete
operational and formal operational period.

Sensorimotor. Birth through ages 18-24 months.

Preoperational. Toddlerhood (18-24 months) through early childhood (age 7)
Concrete operational. Ages 7 to 12.
Formal operational. Adolescence through adulthood.

While Benjamin Blooms Theory is focused on students learning domains, classified

learning into three domains (cognitive, affective, psychomotor), and also created Blooms
Taxonomy which is made up of six levels that can be used to acquire knowledge on a certain
topic. This six levels starts from the lower order thinking skills up to higher order thinking skills
(starts from remembering, understanding, applying, analyzing, evaluating, up to creating).

5. Differentiate between pedagogy to andragogy

Based from the internet, "Pedagogy" literally means "leading children." Andragogy was a
term coined to refer to the art/science of teaching adults. Malcolm Knowles and others theorized
that methods used to teach children are often not the most effective means of teaching adults.
In short, Pedagogy is a child-focused teaching approach while Andragogy is an adult-focused
teaching approach.

WORKSHEET # 4

Define and give your own insights on the topics discussed.

1. Intrapersonal Relationship. Give examples.

The definition of intrapersonal is something that exists within one person or refers to
things that go on exclusively within one person. An example of intrapersonal relationship are:
someone having awareness of how they affect the world around them, talking to God by Praying
and meditation (Solo vocal communication includes speaking aloud to oneself.)

2. Interpersonal Relationship. Give examples.

The "interpersonal" refers to relationships or actions that take place between two or more
people and "Inter" is a prefix meaning "between." It is also a strong bond between two or more
people refers to interpersonal relationship. Attraction between individuals brings them close to
each other and eventually results in a strong interpersonal relationship. An example of
interpersonal relationship is: communicating to your friends, families, classmates or even to your
workmates.

Enumerate and explain the following:

3. Different types of Interpersonal Relationship.

We define types of interpersonal relationships in terms of relational contexts of interaction
and the types of expectations that communicators have of one another.
Friendship- Theories of friendship emphasize the concept of friendship as a freely chosen
association
Family- Family communication patterns establish roles, identities and enable the growth
of individuals. Family dysfunction may also be exhibited by communication patterns.
Romantic-Romantic relationships are defined in terms of the concepts of passion,
intimacy and commitment.
Professional Relationships- Professional communication encompasses small group
communication and interviewing.
Interpersonal Competence- Assess interpersonal effectiveness in various types of
relationships and contexts.

4. Different factors affecting Intrapersonal Relationship.

Interpersonal relationship refers to individuals with similar tastes and mindsets entering
into an association. Individuals who share identical goals and interests enter into an
interpersonal relationship. It is essential for individuals in a relationship to get along well.

Let us go through various factors affecting interpersonal relationship:

Compatibility- Two individuals in a relationship must be compatible with each other. There
should be no scope of conflicts and misunderstandings in a relationship. Individuals from similar
backgrounds and similar goals in life do extremely well in relationships. People with different
aims, attitudes, thought processes find it difficult to adjust and hence fail to carry the relationship
to the next level.

Communication- It plays a pivotal role in all types of relationships whether it is personal

or professional. Feelings must be expressed and reciprocated in relationships. Individuals need
to communicate with each other effectively for better understanding. Do not stay mum as it leads
to problems and misunderstandings. Two people in love must interact with each other on a
regular basis through various modes of communication such as telephone, emails, letters
(though exchanging letter is now considered an outdated form of communication). Staying in
touch is essential for the love to grow especially in long distance relationships where individuals
cant meet quite often.

In professional relationships as well, colleagues must communicate well for a better

bonding. Sit with your co workers and discuss issues face to face to reach to a mutually
acceptable solution. The recipient must understand what the sender intends to communicate
and vice a versa. Clarity of thoughts is essential in relationships.

Honesty- Be honest in relationships. Do not lie or hide things from your partner.
Remember every problem has a solution. Think before you speak. Transparency is important in
relationships.

Stay calm- Do not overreact on petty things in relationships. Stay calm. Be a little more
adjusting. Be the first one to say Sorry. It will solve half of your problems.
Forgiving- An individual needs to be a little more forgiving in relationships. Do not drag
issues unnecessarily. Fighting over small issues is foolish and makes the situation all the more
worse.

Smile- As they say Smile is a curve that makes everything right. Flash your smile more
often. It works. Take care of your facial expressions while interacting with the other person.

Time- Time plays an important role in relationships. Individuals in love must spend
adequate time to know each other better. Frustrations arise when people do not have time to
meet or interact with each other. Even in organization, individuals must spend quality time with
their co workers to strengthen the bond amongst themselves. Married couples must take time
out for each other for the charm to stay in relationship forever. Make the other person feel
important. Appreciate your partner whenever he/she does something for you. Praise him/her in
front of others. Every relationship needs time and an individuals effort to grow. Sit with your
partner and try to sort out the differences amicably. Dont be too rigid.
