classroom page allows the teacher to assign special projects to students that can be completed beyond the
classroom day. Parents can remain up-to-date with events and assignments that impact their childs learning
experiences. This serves as a wonderful tool to promote home/school communication.

Lesson idea implementation: The classroom blog created using Edublogs will become a year-long source to
support student learning. Not only will special information and websites be listed on the blog, the flipped
classroom page will provide a special location for activities and projects that will be completed throughout
the school year. Students will have the opportunity to work independently or collaboratively with others.
Students who do not have access to the Internet from home will be given special work times throughout the
school day to help support the needs of these students. The website will serve as an introduction, review or
extension to a topic covered within the classroom.

Importance of technology: The website-creation tool is critical to me as a teacher because have to use the
Edublogs as the main school year communication tool for my classroom and parents. Without it, I will not be
able to be effectively communicate with my classroom and my parents. Other type of technology I am going
to use in the learning experience include BrainPop, CoolMaths, PBSKids and Starfall.

Inspiration (optional):
Internet Safety and Student Privacy: Some of the possible issues surrounding internet safety and privacy
including students not posting their full name, address and any personal information when adding comments.
I can alleviate any fears by parents and administrators by having a password requirement that students may
need to be Approve before adding any comments post on the blog

I hope to learn how to use blogs. Using edublogs I am able to post important tools to assist students with
lessons or activities in the classroom and at home. In addition, the parents in my class are able to view and
know what is going on in my class.
