The Beatles are an influence to our culture because of their style, they changed the way
we experienced our music, and they made the world safe for rock cartoons. The Beatles were
formed in Liverpool England in 1960. John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and
Ringo Starr were all members of the band. The Beatles were one of the most popular bands of all
time and will go down in history. The beatles had so much energy and innovation, the ladies
loved them. Each new Beatles album was an event. They inspired other musicians and bands
A little after The Beatles came to America in 1964, all the boys wanted their hair to be
long like theirs and they wanted collarless jackets and Beatles boots. Their hairstyle was known
as The Mod-top because of its resemblance to a wet mop. John Lennon wore these glasses
that were given to him for his role in Richard Lesters film, How I Won The War. Lennon also
wore a black fisherman's cap so he would become noticed and to set him apart as the leader of
the group. The During some concerts, they would all match and wear the same suit. Not only did
their appearance and clothing catch peoples eye, but the way they were on stage and their album
covers. Each album cover is so unique. The Beatles style influenced so many people, especially
teens. It was so new to everyone, no one had ever seen anything like it.

The Beatles not only changed music, they altered the way music is made. The Beatles
tried to make based on the types music that they would listen too. They experimented with
different types of genres of music and with instruments. They were always willing to try
something new, and that is why they have made such a huge impact on people, music, and music
history. So many musicians today look up to them. The Beatles wrote all of their own songs.
The Beatles made the world safe for rock cartoons. Teenagers mainly were the ones hung
up on the Beatles, but it wasnt long until older and even younger people jumped on the
bandwagon. The Beatles wanted to be on everyones level, age wise. So The Beatles show was
the first pop music cartoon. The show ran for three seasons on ABC-TV in the mid-to-late 60s.
Soon after that, younger people started becoming fans of their music. The show was very silly
and each episode included two Beatles songs. The show came on every saturday morning and
The Beatles recorded tons of great songs. Tomorrow Never Knows from the Revolver
album was a hit. It was always played in the clubs. Strawberry Fields Forever launched the
psychedelic rock movement and involved an electric organ and a string instrument. Michelle
from the Rubber Soul album involved good phrasing and chord changes and is known to be a
Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr are still alive today. Paul is 75 years old and Ringo is
77. On December 8th, 1980, John Lennon was shot dead by Mark David Chapman at his

residence in New York City. He was only 40 years old. After he passed the Beatles recorded two
songs, Free as a Bird and Real Love. John had already recorded demos for them. George died
in 2001 from lung cancer due to years of cigarette smoking. He was 58. Both gone too soon.
