LIST OF ACCREDITED HALAL-CERTIFIERS IN THE PHILIPPINES
The long wait of the Islamic Community is over as the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos (NCMF) accredited three (3) halal-certifiers in the Philippines, as follows:
1. Halal International Chamber of Commerce and Industries of the Philippines, Inc.
(located at: Unit 701 Jafer Place, Eisenhower St., Greenhills, San Juan City);
2. Mindanao Halal Authority (MINHA)
(located at: 3/F Dinopol Bldg., Osmea St., General Santos City); and
3. Muslim Mindanao Halal Certification Board, Inc. (MMHCB)
(located at: No. 2 Abdul Kadil Daod Apartment, Campo Muslim Drive, Cotabato City).
With the accreditation of Halal-Certifiers, Halal compliance in the Philippines will be
strengthened and Halal industry will be developed. Halal is a purification rite mandated by Islam in order to ensure that food is fit for consumption by its faithful.
The Department of Agriculture - National Meat Inspection Service (DA-NMIS) and
National Commission on Muslim Filipinos (NCMF) has been working together as partners in the promotion and development of Halal Industry as an institution and more importantly as a linkage to a long-term economic development of the country.
