Reflection for TRB Standard 3

I believe my Brief Assessment Plan for a Unit of Study illustrates how I have
achieved TRB standard three. An assessment plan such as the one I have used for
this unit shows what the students should have achieved by the end of the end of the
unit. Aside from it being a useful indicator in terms of how the unit is progressing, it
allowed me to effectively measure how students were developing on a day to day
basis. Specifically, by providing details about the particular tasks that addressed
formative assessment and the protocols surrounding their structure, I was able to
accurately measure how both the class and each individual students were
developing throughout the duration of the unit. Furthermore, it helped me to
understand how and when to make adjustments to the progress over the course of
the unit. In regards to final grading, the assessment plan allowed me to measure
student growth. This was due to the information gathered by the assessment plan
helping me to understand how the student has developed from the previous unit.
Also, the data and information helped me to plan to future units for the students in
the context of their continuing development.
