What is scraping? How it is done?

Scraper: Tool used to reduce the high spots on the surface which has previously been smoothened as
far as possible by machining or filing. Scraping is a hand operation. It is done using scraping tool by
hand manually.

Why fuses are necessary for electrical connections of machine tools?

Fuses are used to protect electrical equipment against short circuit. The principle of its function is fusing
of easily fusible wire or strip at a current higher than normal current of the fuse itself. They are
provided at the origin of the circuit to be protected.

What is the difference between Drilling and Boring?

Drilling is the process of perforating a solid material surface using a drill bit to create a
cavity. The surface of the drilling is rough, and the edges of the entrance may be
rugged.

Boring is the process of cutting the internal surfaces of an existing hole, where the
goal may be enlarging the hole or to achieve higher tolerance and finish in the product.

It can be done on a milling machine, lathe, or machining center, but there are also machines designed
specifically for drilling called drill presses. Boring can be done only on drilling machine

Drilling requires a cutting tool called a drill bit. Boring is accomplished using a heavy, stiff boring bar that has
a single-point cutting tool at the end.
