3. Currently working with Bank of America/Merrill Lynch as a Senior Systems Engineer
from May-2010 till date.

Responsibilities:

OS

1. Server Build and Provisioning (Solaris and Linux) and maintenance. (More than 5500
servers as of now).
2. User Management, Local and NIS (yp). (User, Group and Net group Creation and
Modification).
3. Server Decommission.
4. Creating Custom Sudo rules depending on the Client/Application Team requirement.
5. Implementing the Power Broker Setup which is an alternative to the sudoers and is
done at the NIS level.
6. Bonding/IPMP setup in RHEL and Solaris respectively and other miscellaneous UNIX tasks.
STORAGE/ DISK MANAGEMENT

1. Veritas Volume Manager (VxVm). Which includes detection of luns at the OS level (both
Linux and Solaris). Creation/Deletion of Veritas Disk Groups, Volumes and File Systems.
and other miscellaneous tasks. EMC ( DMX & VMAX ).
2. Logical Volume Manager (LVM- Concept) / Software RAID concept in Red-Hat Linux.

KEY ACHIEVEMENTS:

1. Automation implementation on over 3000 Servers using shell scripting for migrating the
mail relay servers, by changing the sendmail.cf/submit.cf config file.
2. Played a key role in project transition during the merging of Bank of America and Merrill
Lynch Projects.
3. Boot environment migration from UFS to ZFS servers on Solaris10 Servers.
4. Virtualization of Test/Dev environment using Cloud computing.
