The well was spudded on 23.10.2018 by rig GD Chaaru and 20° and 13 % casings were lowered to depths of 400m &1369.5 m, respectively. After driling the 12 %’ hole up to 1485m_(Limestone/Bassein formation) severe mud loss was observed. However, the hole was further driled (blind driling) to 1603m with partial and total mud loss conditions. The losses could not be controlled even after placing LCM pil, four frac seal pils and two gel cement plugs. The diiling of this section also witnessed frequent held ups, abnormal torques and back reaming operations. ‘Subsequently, frequent held ups were also observed, within 13 %" casing, in the interval 1349-1359m, during running in of Dril Sting operations. Hence, 'GR-CCL logging was cartied out to determine the problem. The tool got held ups at 1349m, 1356m and at 1361 m, on three different occasions. Metal peelings were observed in the shale shaker as well as on the magnet placed in the gumbo shaker during circulation, Therefore, Impression block was lowered to determine any damage to the Casing but no visible marks were lobserved on the impression block. Attempts were also made to clear the held up by running Flat Mil with Reverse Cirulation Junk Basket (RCJB), without any success, After this USIT-CBL-VDL-CCL-GR Loge were recorded to determine any Idamage to the Casing/ Casing Partition. This tool also got held up at 1360m. From these logs, the Casing integrity was found to be good above 1380m. Based on the above complications and the amount of Non-productive time spent in \dearing the obstruction at around 13 % casing shoe, it was decided to side track the well up to 1480 m (above the loss zone encountered in the original Ihole), by placing Whip-stock inside 13 %' casing,. The well was side-tracked from 1311m, after cutting the window in the interval 1311-1316m. The 12 %° ‘section was diiled to the revised TD of 1480m, Multiple held ups were (observed during round trips and logging in the side-racked hole. Due to these hheld ups Open Hole Logs on Wireline as well as on TLC could not be ‘recorded below 1439m. In order to avoid further complications, it was decided to lower 9 %" casing up to 1480m. Formation Evaluation: \Chinchini Formation (Seabod-686m) his formaton mainly consis of grey, soft sticky Clay and Ciaystone with Shale lHyccarbon stows were not ebeerved n this secon ung grin. Log signatures ako do nat indicate the presence of any hydrocarbons (Bandra &Tapti Formation (686-864) [The top portion ofthe interval consists Claystone, Limestone folowed by dominantly [shale ‘with thin Sitstone layer towards bottom. Hydrocarbon shows were not lcbserved in this section during driling. Log signatures also do not indicate the Presence of any hydrocarbons, 6 Ee arefes U5 Working Paper [This interval maint consists of predominantly Shale with Limestone streaks grading {to predominantly Shae towards botom Alibagh Formation (1486-4327m) [This formation predominantly consists of Shale. Heera Formation (1327-1404m) [This formation predominantly consists of Shale with minor Limestone towards. bottom Muita Formation (1404-1460.5m [This formation consists of allerate layers of Limestone and Shale. Hydrocarbon shows were observed during dling, present in dil cuttings and in Conventional [Core Cc#1(Original Hole). Log. signatures also indicated. the presence of hydrocarbons. Bassein Formation (460.5m-16034) [The original well hed penetrated 142.5m thick of Bassein section. The Bassein Irrmaton after 486m could not be evaluated due to the absence of cuting eames {due to total mud loss and non-avalabity of log data below 1485m, However, top part lof Bassein formation, inthe interval 1467,0-1463.0 m seems to be interesting fom hydrocarbon point of view. [The Log signatures of Original and Side-tracked Holes are simiar and the |maximum depth difference between these two holes is 0.6 m. The maximum [deviation in the Side-tracked Hole ie 294° at 1400 m and the Horizontal Drift fe [about 7 m at 1400 m.
