To celebrate five years together our programs this season will explore several different meanings of

family. Tonight we hope to highlight the wonderful feelings and memories we have of being home for
the holidays.

The first half of tonight’s concert features a set a carols written by composer Alfred Burt and his friend,
poet Wihla Hutson, as unique holiday cards that were sent to family friends. These carols have become
classics since first being recorded in 1954. We have chosen to present some of the most familiar from
the set (Caroling, Caroling and Some Children See Him) as well as some of the lesser known gems (All
on a Christmas Morning and We’ll Dress the House.)

After Intermission we’re sure you will enjoy some holiday favorites from the 50’s classic Mele
Kalikimaha and the Reindeer Hula to perennial standards I’ll Be Home for Christmas and No Place Like
Home for the Holidays. We end tonight’s concert with two of my favorites, Merry Christmas Darling
and Sleigh Ride. No family gathering this time of year is complete without those classics! We hope you
catch the holiday cheer and feel at home as a member of our LGMC family. We’re glad you’ve come and
made this night a wonderful “Family Affair”!
