Product- Product is a smart pocket-sized card that has embedded integrated circuits used as a payment
method for kochi metro, intercity trains, buses and ferries.

Function-
 Touching in and out-
Travellers touch the card on a distinctive circular reader to 'touch in' and 'touch out' at the start and
end of a journey. Physical contact is not necessary, but the range of the reader is only a few
millimetres.
Renewals
 can be renewed at the normal sales points and ticket machines and can also be renewed online.
Auto top-up
 Customers can set up and manage Auto top-up online for their existing card. They can register
a debit or credit card, to ensure successful transactions.
Pay-as-you-go
 cards can also be used as stored-value cards, holding electronic funds of money. Amounts are
deducted from the card each time it is used, and the funds can be "recharged" when required.

Price

To encourage passengers to switch to kochi transit card, initial nominal payment of 50 rs is taken with a
minimum top up of 100 and a maximum of 1000, while offering 10 % discount on buses and intercity trains
ticket prices. Earning model comprises of 2% charges on every transaction made using kochi transit card.
