Century of Education
Commemorating the 100th anniversary of the building once housing Salem High and Junior High Schools that is now the Kent State City Center

Former Salem businessman Dave Ventresco, who also served on city council, commissioned acclaimed artist Ed Sullivan to paint several local Salem scenes
to enhance the restaurant which he managed on East State Street. Sullivan added local personalities to each of the paintings. This painting of the what
was then the Salem Junior High School was done in 1987. When Ventresco left the restaurant, he sold the Sullivan paintings to Loudon Ford Lincoln Mer-
cury. They hung in the sales offices until the dealership was sold to Donnell Ford. The painting is now at the Salem High School Alumni Association.
