Cameron Allman - Storycorps Reflection
Cameron Allman - Storycorps Reflection
I chose to interview my papa (grandfather). I chose him to interview because I am named after him. I also
interviewed him because he is someone who I look up to and has been very influential in my life.
2. Why did you choose the questions that you did? What was your thought process when picking
questions?
I chose the questions I did to have a better understanding of his life and journey from birth to now.
3. What is the most important thing you learned during the interview?
To name one thing isn't easy to do because I learned more as a whole. However, I would have to say having a
more detailed account of his life gave me a better understanding of the many stories I have heard over the years.
4. What do you wish you had spent more time on or done differently?
The one major regret I have after completing the interview is not doing it sooner, so I could have more
memories to share with future generations.
The most challenging task was being able to capture his whole life because it often can be easy to talk about
just one aspect for a long amount of time.
From my perspective he was honored and happy we could both experience the interview process
