Indonesia International (bio)Medical Students’ Congress

Liga Medika 2015

Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Indonesia

INAMSC BACKGROUND

Liga Medika is an annual event held by Faculty of Medicine, University of

Indonesia. It consists of various subprograms, ranging from sports, arts, and
science. The science program is Indonesia International (bio)Medical
Students’Congress (INAMSC). INAMSC is certainly the largest biomedical
students congress in Indonesia. In 2013, INAMSC started to invite not only
biomedical students from all around Indonesia, but also international students
from all around the world.

INAMSC provides unique opportunities for biomedical students around the

world to meet each other, to share their knowledge and to broaden their
network. To achieve these goals, INAMSC consists of a variety of programs
which will be held in 4 days and 3 nights. In symposium, leading national and
international researchers will share about their latest research about “Errors
of Metabolism and Hormonal Disorders”. Participants will also be able to try
various clinical skills hands-on in a selection of workshops. Literature review
and Research Paper and Poster Competition allow the delegates to share and
present their own researches and ideas in front of qualified judges and
international audiences. Finally, INAMSC also has social programs which will
allow delegates to experience Indonesian culture and Jakarta tourist spots.

In conclusion, the committees believe that INAMSC will give benefits to global
future health professionals and researchers. We hope that delegates can enjoy
themselves, learn from each other, and create new connections.

SOCIAL PROGRAMS

Social Program is comprised of activities aimed primarily in introducing the

cultural aspects of Indonesia to local and international participants of INAMSC.
Other objectives include in creating friendly atmosphere for the participants to
become familiar with each other and the cultural exchange between them can
take place naturally. The activities mentioned before are consisted of Gala
Dinner, Cultural Night, and City Tour.

Gala dinner is the grand official opening of INAMSC held in a ballroom where
patrons of INAMSC deliver their opening speeches. Moreover, soothing
classical music and band will enhance the dining experience. This activity gives
a vibrant and relaxing ambience for participants to indulge in friendship and
adapting themselves to the city of Depok. Gala dinner is definitely the best
activity to begin with.

During the Cultural Night

activity, participants are
given opportunities to
carry out their
performances,
exchanging gifts, and
foods unique from their
respective provinces and
countries. Fundamentally,
this event is devoted for
