Learning Outcomes [ASSURE (State Objectives)]
After attending two hours of the lesson, joining in-class activities, and doing the assigned homework, the
students will:
1. read and recreate short and simple texts that are at least %75 grammatically correct, about regular
activities of teenagers, during in-class activities.
2. identify and talk about the daily routines and regular activities of teenagers when asked in class.
3. distinguish simple adverbs of frequency correctly when asked in class.
4. orally express what they prefer, like and dislike when asked in class.

 Concept Map: Students will try to form full sentences using the phrases on the map.
 Find someone who…: Students are given flashcards. They walk around the classroom for a
predetermined amount of time to find one classmate that likes and one classmate that dislikes the
action or object that is on the flashcard. When the time is up students express who likes and who
dislikes the flashcard’s content in full sentences.
 Coursebook: Listening activities will be done by audio-tracks. Speaking activities will be done both
individually and in pairs. Inquiries about frequency will be explained and students will try and recreate
simple frequency inquiries. Students will talk about their regular activities in front of the class. Other
activities will be worked on the coursebook itself by writing (note-taking, true/false exercises, reading
comprehension, note-taking, etc.)

Summary
The lesson consists of reading comprehension related to teen life, short and simple texts about regular
activities of teenagers’ lives, simple adverbs of frequency, simple inquiries about frequency, and oral
expression of student’s own likes, dislikes, preferences, and routines.

Explanation
No official grading or formal evaluation will be done. The teacher will observe the students’ progress
throughout the lesson and correct their mistakes when needed.
Explanation regarding to the implementation of the plan
The students will be led to work on coursebook activities. They will do reading comprehension, note-taking,
true/false exercise, dialogue forming and speaking. After the coursebook activities. A concept map made by
bubbl.us will be presented to students and they will be asked to form sentences with the components on the
map. Pronunciation, word choice, and grammar will be observed and orally evaluated through the activity.
Pronunciation will be directly corrected if there is any mistake. Grammar rules will not be given explicitly, and
mistakes will be encouraged to be corrected by the student themselves. Afterwards, a game will be played.
Students will be encouraged orally for their achievement through the activity. Homework due next week will
be given. The lesson ends.

Backup plans
No power/ broken player: The transcription will be read to students from the teacher’s book.
Broken computer/no power/broken projector/etc.: The concept map does not have to be reflected, therefore
making sure to have a printout of the map will help in case of these scenarios. The activity will be held out as
planned.
Shy students will be encouraged, but not stressed out, to participate in the communicative game of Find
Someone Who…
If flashcards are lost or forgotten, new ones including only the words will be simply prepared on blank papers
and given out. The activity then will be held out as planned.
