Disaster Risk Reduction Project

TITLE: DSAC EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR/DIRECTOR

JOB SUMMARY

The Diocesan Social Action Center (DSAC) Director/ Executive Director provides overall organizational
leadership to the DSAC SUCCESS project staff, ensures project remains on track, address spending and
human resource matters and be the public face of the project for high-level events.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

Project Implementation:
 Chief Executive Officer of the DSAC/Caritas.

 Serve as the DSAC’s managing director for the SUCCESS project and act as its main authority, head
decision-maker, and lead executor of DSAC’s contractual agreements in the project.

 In charge of providing high-level decision-making (management, policy and strategy) in the


implementation of Project SUCCESS.

 Provide overall vision, guidance and leadership to the DSAC as the implementing unit of project
SUCCESS. Motivates employees, and drives changes within the organization.

 Member of the Project Steering Committee (PSC), attends PSC meeting, provides advice on
management, policy and strategy for project implementation.

 Report overall project progress, financial updates or concerns, policy changes, resource updates and
other project management concerns to the PSC.

 Identify and report project implementation concerns and recommend courses of actions to address
them.

Financial Management:
 Main budget holder of the Project Funds received by the DSAC under the project.

 Main authority in the Project’s financial transactions – signs Requests for Release (RfRs).

 Monitor project fund disbursements and liquidations. Approve the project’s financial reports.

 Identify and reports resource needs to CRS.

 Identify and report to CRS any financial anomaliy such as theft, fraud, among others and
recommend courses of actions to address them.
