Documentation of our building process

Step 1
Part List
Circular neodymium magnets, big magnet, sheet metal, CIM motor, protective case, fan blade, interior
case
Step 2
Tools /equipment and estimated time
We would need soldering kit, electrical wires and tape, gloves, goggle, multi meter, safety equipment, and
dreamer.
The estimated time to construct our product would be total 5 days after our parts delivered. To be specific,
2days to how to put magnets on the fan blade to move, 1 day to place the fan blade to the motor, 1 day to
assemble all the parts, and 1 day to make an improvement.
Step 3
Building procedures

Cover the side of circular magnets that will be attached to the fan blade.
Glue the circular neodymium magnets to the fan blade/fan
Place that fan blade to the motor
Place this fan to the interior case
Connect the wires from the motor to either an outlet or a USB
Place the fan inside of the exterior case
Place the big magnet at the corner of the exterior case
Attach the stopping door at the side of the exterior case through the rectangular
space

Step 4
We made 4 prototypes, we changed the position of the magnets, the location of the motor in the product,
and the way that the motor was attached to the product.

Step 5
Special thanks
To Mr. Bolgiano who we couldn’t have done this project without his guidance
To Mrs. Z for helping us remain on tract throughout the course of the whole engineering course
And to Worcester Technical High School for giving us the 50 dollar budget to use on our Capstone
project.
