Note from John P. Strelecky

Hi,

You have in front of you the 1001 Inspirational Quotes Book.

There are over one thousand, one hundred and fifty quotes in here. All are searchable
either by specific words, or by the person who said the quote.

For example if you want to find just the quotes with the word “heart”, you can go up to
the menu options and select Edit, and then select Search. On the right hand side of the
screen a window will appear where you can type in the word heart. Once you hit the
search button, all the locations with the word heart will be found, and links to them will
appear in the little window. Just click on the link, and it takes you right to the spot in the
book where heart appears.

Super easy to use, and super useful.

As a writer of inspirational books, I use quotes quite a bit, and I found myself spending
hours searching through website after website to find what I wanted. Compiling this
book was my solution.

It sounded easy, and then ended up taking WAY more time than I thought.

Nonetheless, it has saved me many, many hours since then, and I know it will do the
same for you. This way all the quotes are in one spot, they are searchable, and you don’t
need to be connected to the web to access them.

Enjoy!

John

1001 Inspirational Quotes

“...character may almost be called the most effective means of persuasion...”

Aristotle

“...leaders are people who are able to express themselves fully...they know who they are,
what their strengths and weaknesses are, and how to fully deploy their strengths and
compensate for their weaknesses. They also know what they want, why they want it, and
how to communicate what they want to others, in order to gain compensation and
support. Finally, they know how to achieve their goals. The key to full self-expression is
understanding one's self and the world, and the key to understanding is learning--from
one's own life and experience.”
Warren Bennis

“...power is not really good or bad; it is neutral. Power itself is not negative or positive,
although our feelings about it may be. Power is the potential to influence others for good
or evil, to be a blessing or a scourge. Like nuclear energy, it can provide the electricity to
light a city, or it can fuel the bomb that destroys it.”
Blaine Lee

“...the harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. What we obtain too cheap, we
esteem too lightly: it is dearness only that gives everything its value.”
Thomas Paine

“...until a person can say deeply and honestly, "I am what I am today because of the
choices I made yesterday," that person cannot say, "I choose otherwise." “

“All things are created twice. There's a mental or first creation, and a physical or second
creation of all things. You have to make sure that the blueprint, the first creation, is really
what you want, that you've thought everything through. Then you put it into bricks and
mortar. Each day you go to the construction shed and pull out the blueprint to get
marching orders for the day. You begin with the end in mind. “
Stephen Covey

Kahlil Gibran, Lebanese-American writer

“Almost all of the world-class athletes and other peak performers are visualizers. They
see it; they feel it; they experience it before they actually do it. They began with the end
in mind. You can do it in every area of your life. Before performance, a sales
presentation, a difficult confrontation, or the daily challenge of meeting a goal, see it
clearly, vividly, relentlessly, over and over again. Create an internal "comfort zone."
Then, when you get into the situation, it isn't foreign. It doesn't scare you. “
Stephen Covey

“Almost any idea is good if a man has ability and is willing to work hard. The best idea is
worthless if the creator is a loafer and ineffective.”

“Know thyself was the inscription over the Oracle at Delphi. And it is still the most

weaknesses, know what you want to do and why you want to do it, you cannot succeed in

about himself, knows his flaws as well as his assets, and deals with them directly. You are
your own raw material. When you know what you consist of and why you want to make
of it, then you can invent yourself.”

“The unselfish effort to bring cheer to others will be the beginning of a happier life for
ourselves.”
Helen Keller

“The way to find out about your happiness is to keep your mind on those moments when
you feel most happy, when you really are happy -- not excited, not just thrilled, but
deeply happy. This requires a little bit of self-analysis. What is it that makes you happy?
Stay with it, no matter what people tell you. This is what I call 'following your bliss.' If
you follow your bliss, you put yourself on a kind of track that has been there all the
while, waiting for you, and the life that you ought to be living is the one you are living.
Wherever you are -- if you are following your bliss, you are enjoying that refreshment,
that life within you, all the time.”
Joseph Campbell

“The word courage comes from the same stem as the French word coeur, meaning
"heart." Thus just as one's heart, by pumping blood to one's arms, legs, and brain enables

virtues. Without courage other values whither away into mere facsimiles of virtue.”
Rollo May
