Ministry for the Sick and Homebound
We are grateful to those who give of their time and
care to bring Holy Communion to our parishioners
who cannot make it to church due to sickness or
infirmity. If you know of anyone who would like to re-
ceive communion in their home or while hospitalized
at West Lincoln Hospital, please contact the parish
office.
SVDP Society
MISSION - The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is a
lay Catholic organization whose mission is: To live
the Gospel message by serving Christ in the
poor with love, respect, justice and joy.
VALUES - The Mission of the Society of St. Vincent
de Paul implies that as Vincentians we: see Christ in
anyone who suffers, come together as a family,
have personal contact with the poor, help in all pos-
sible ways.
Canadian Tire Money
We continue to collect Canadian Tire money to pur-
chase raffle prizes for fundraising events. It can be

YOUth Blasters Winter Schedule
YOUth Blasters upcoming gatherings will be at the
parish on the following dates:
January 28th from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m.
February 11th & 25th from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m.
YOUth Blasters always have a great time growing
in our faith together through prayer, activities, crafts,
music and snacks! All newcomers are welcome
(grade 3 and up)! Please pick up a registration form

gram for married couples that feel bored, disillu-

park. Their message is usually
something like “Repent. We are
all doomed unless we change our ways.”
Are they valid modern-day prophets or are they
nutcases to be avoided?
As Moses was dying, he told the people that God
would raise up another great prophet for them from
among their own kin. Today we know that the proph-

the Sacrament of Confirmation on
Thursday evening with Bishop Berg-

26th World Day of the Sick (Feb. 11)
Mater Ecclesiae: “Behold, your son... Behold, your
mother. And from that hour the disciple took her into
his home.” (Jn 19:26-27)
On Sunday, February 11, 2018, the World Day
of the Sick, Bishop Bergie will celebrate Mass
with the communal celebration of the Sacrament
of the Sick at 2:00 pm at the Cathedral of St.
Catherine of Alexandria. All are welcome to at-
tend, especially the sick and those who care for
the sick.
