FABRICATION OF MINI HYDRAULIC PIPE VICE

SYNOPSIS

Here we are fabricating the model mini hydraulic pipe vice for

pressing operation. Hydraulics is a topic in applied science and engineering

dealing with the mechanical properties of liquids. Fluid mechanics provides

the theoretical foundation for hydraulics, which focuses on the engineering

uses of fluid properties. In fluid power, hydraulics is used for the generation,

control, and transmission of power by the use of pressurized liquids. The

hydraulic press depends on Pascal's principle; the pressure throughout a

closed system is constant.

WORKING PRINCIPLE

Here we place the hydraulic bottle jack on a frame, and the movable

jaw is fixed at the top of the piston. The working table is placed on the top of

the adjustable frame. The whole setup is mounted on the base frame. The

hydraulic bottle jack is working with the help of supply of oil and pressure

created inside the cylinder. After tightening the pressure relief valve the

pumping action is started with the help of pumping rod, the oil is supplied to

push the piston in upward direction. The movable jaw which is mounted at
the top of the piston moves upwards and holds the work piece. After

completing the required process the pressure is released with help of

pressure relief valve so the piston comes to its original position.
