FABRICATION OF HYDRAUIC HEAVY DUTY VICE

SYNOPSIS

A hydraulic fluid power system is defined as a means of power

transmission in which relatively incompressible fluid is used as the power
transmitting media. The primary purpose of hydraulic system is the transfer
of energy from one location to another location and this energy into useful
work.
Power clamping is used for holding the job as for as quickly and maintain
the constant pressure over the job. Here in our project power clamping is
done by hydraulic system. Power clamping system consists of movable jaw,
fixed jaw, and hydraulic circuit. This movable jaw is fixed with hydraulic
cylinder. When pump is switched on the hydraulic cylinder will moves
forward and holds the object very tightly. Now machining operation can
performed in a normal manner. Thenmachining operation finished relief
valve will open so the piston goes back and oil again moves to
sump.
The Hydraulic system pressure can be generated in the form of any
physical action which result a compression over the Hydraulic system or
pneumatic pressure which is developed in the form of air compressing
externally can be applied to activate Hydraulic system. There is a constant
relation between pressure density, and volume, According to Bernoulli
‘equations.
WORKING PRINCIPLE

Here we are placing the hydraulic bottle cylinder on the based plate,

and the pressing tool is fixed in the hydraulic piston rod end. The working

table is placed on the top of the supporting frame. It can be adjusted

according to the work piece height by adjusting the lock nuts which is

placed at the either side of the work table. The hydraulic bottle cylinder is

working with the help of supply of oil from the pumping rod side. Here we

have to tight the pressure relief valve then to start pumping with help of

pumping rod by pumping, the oil will supply to push the piston upward

direction by this pressing tool will move through it to pressing the

workpiece. By the completing the bending process we have to release the

pressure relief valve then the piston comes it original position.

ADVANTAGE&DISADVANTAGE
Advantages:
1. It does not require special type hoses.
2. No extra skill is required for operating this system.
3. Easier maintenance
4. Operation is very smooth and in this system we can get more output
by applying less effort.
5. Simple construction of additional accessories not needed.
6. Comparatively cheaper in cost then the other systems.
 7. Quick response is achieved

8. Continuous operation is possible without stopping.

10. Power can be easily transmission.
11. Less loss in transmission.
12. Very Easy Collecting Process.

Disadvantages:

1. Machining work is very complicated.

2. Very sturdy base needed.
