MEE 4150 / 4250 Senior Design Faculty Advisor Team Progress Report

Background: Faculty advisors provide engineering guidance & mentoring, assess technical knowledge,
learning, and practical application of engineering principle. Regular periodic communication between
students and adviser is critical. Adviser is a mentor, friend, and colleague for the team. Progress reports
document regular meetings between each student and their adviser. Each student must meet with their
adviser bi-weekly, or per schedule published in syllabus. Preferably, all team members present at same
meeting. Individual meetings, or smaller groups, can work to accommodate schedule. All students must
actually attend an advisor meeting – 15 to 30 minutes minimum – per schedule. Progress reports are
graded P/F. Progress reports not signed by both each student and advisor fail. Advisers collect each form
at meeting. Instructor / TA collects reports from advisor. Each progress report addresses periodic
performance, not all progress to date. Complete, at a minimum, following questions:

Team Name: _________________________________

Describe / discuss challenges encountered:
