RECOMMENDATIONS

The following recommendations are made based on the findings of this study. Effort should be
made by the government and other health agencies to educate middle age workers on the various
types of medical checkup, their indications and benefits as well as its practice encouraged.
Health information dissemination as regards medical checkup, through media houses should be
improved by the appropriate authorities to enhance the knowledge and practice of periodic
medical checkup. Hospitals should be built in most if not all communities so as to provide easy
access for medical checkup. The government should provide more affordable healthcare delivery
and health insurance plan to cover the medical checkups in order to promote the practice of
routine checkup.
