SPONSORSHIP INVITATION

M & C Training was born out of the professional relationship and partnership of Marié Otto, founder
of the Play Therapy & Parental Guidance Centre in Mpumalanga and Claudi Davel, Play Therapist,
from Pretoria. Marie and Claudi have been hosting professional training events for mental health
practitioners, teachers and parents since 2012 in an effort to contribute to the enhancement and
professional development of mental health practitioners in South Africa, especially those who work
with children in the field of child therapy and counselling, and ultimately to enhance the mental and
emotional wellbeing of South African children.

M & C Training hosts a variety of seminars and workshops for professionals, parents, teachers and
other concerned individuals in the broad field of child psychology, child therapy, child and
adolescent mental health and professional development. These seminars and workshops are based
on the latest research and trends in South Africa and abroad, and cover theory and practice on a
wide range of child-related topics. Speakers that are regarded as experts in their field of practice are
invited as guest speakers to share their theoretical and practical knowledge and expertise, all
intended to enhance the mental wellbeing of children and teens in South Africa.

GRIEF & BEREAVEMENT SEMINAR: Helping Children and Adolescents heal from loss

M & C Training is hosting a 2-day seminar on the 13th and 14th of September 2018 on the topic of
grief and bereavement, and how to help children and teens heal from loss – related to the South
African climate where trauma, loss and grief is an everyday reality for children.

This seminar will combine the theoretical underpinnings, contemporary theories and expert
facilitation of creative and practical skills in working with bereaved children and teens. This will

sponsors to market their services and network with other professionals.
