    This document provides instructions for printing and using "Bedrock variant" cards with the Saboteur board game. The cards are laid out facedown in a 5x2 grid during setup. When reached, Bedrock cards are revealed like Goal cards and added to the path. They cannot be targeted by Cave-In cards but can be viewed with the Map card. The variant adds complexity to the original Saboteur game.

    Bedrock variant – version 0.

    1 (Based on an idea of Zeror)


    Playable with Saboteur basic version and expansion.

    Instructions : print these cards on thick paper (ca. 160 gr.) and cut them
    out. Glue the back against the fronts.
    OR print these cards on normal paper and put front and back in sleeves.

    Rules :
    • During the set-up of a round, place the 5 facedown cards in the playing
    area, according to one of the schemes (see above).
    • When reaching a bedrock card, reveal it like a Goal card and fit it to the
    connecting path.
    • A bedrock card cannot be targeted by a “cave-in” card.
    • You may use the “map” card to secretly look at the content of a bedrock
    card.
