This small expansion is based on trading posts from the official Splendor: Cities of Splendor, but one can

easily use it
without it: just 20 cubes/pawns in 4 different colors (5 cubes per player).

A B
General rules: at the end of your turn (immediately after the possible visit from a noble), if you meet the
requirement (A) of a power (B), place one of your coats of arms (cubes/pawns) right above it, on its allocated space.
You benefit from this power until the end of the game.

In this game players can have maximum 8 gems !

The requirements and powers.

1. Requirement: 2 different set of 4 matching gem bonus cards in each set (e.g.: 4 ruby bonus card + 4 emerald
bonus cards).
Skill: while taking gems (as a normal action), player can take 1 normal gem and 1 gold.
2. Requirement: 3 Ruby bonuses + 1 Onyx bonuses
Skill: increase gem token hand limit by +2 (from 8 to 10)
3. Requirement: 3 Diamond bonuses
Skill: before a player purchases a card (as a normal action) he can exchange 1 of his gem tokens with any
other token (but not gold) from the bank. Then the player must purchase a card.
4. Requirement: 3 Emerald bonuses + 2 Onyx bonuses
Skill: before a current purchase a card (as a normal action) he can convert 1 previously purchased card into
“gold” to purchase 1 new card. The cards is considered as the “Gold” (i.e. no gold tokens are taken from the
bank, so this skill can be used even if there are not any gold tokens in a bank). It is worth 1 more gold than
the level of the card (e.g. a Level 1 card is equal to 2 Gold, Level 2 = 3 Gold, etc). Immediately discard it and
discount the new card price by the "Gold" value of the converted card. (e.g: New card price is 4 Diamonds
and player converted a level 1 card into 2 "Gold". Player pays 2 Diamonds for the new card).
5. Requirement: 3 Sapphire bonuses
Skill: gain 1 prestige point for each of your coats of arms on the board (same rules as
original trading post, but requirement is 3 Sapphire instead of 3 Onyx).

A new Noble: additionally to the nobles place the new one. Player can pay 2 golds from hand (i.e.
skill number 4 cannot be used for that) to aquire this noble and gain 3 prestige points.

End of the game: 16 prestige points and 1 Gold in hand
