CABLE MAPPER & TONER
• to find and identify multiple coax cables.
• for security system or AV installers (TV installation)
• test multi-run coax systems terminated with F-connectors.
• put a tone signal on a coax cable & identify multiple coax cables
connected to a coax splitter.
• Identify if a coax cable is open or shorted.
• Max length: 1200 m (4000 ft.)
CABLE TESTER
• Normally we use Multi meter or Ohm meter
• CONTINUITY test - verify the existence of a conductive path between ends
of the cable
• RESISTANCE test - known current is passed down the connection and the
voltage
• Coax Cable Tester – for RG6 cable.
SOUND LEVEL METER
• used for acoustic (sound that travels through air) measurements.
• also known as a Sound Pressure Level (SPL) meter
• display the result of sound pressure level (decibels, dB)
• determine the acoustic intensity and determine if an environment is so
loud
• typical model measures between 60-70 dB (human hearing damage level:
90dB)
SYARAT-SYARAT MENGGUNAKAN SOUND LEVEL
METER
• should be used in dry weather / dry conditions.
• should be placed at a sufficient distance
• should be used at wind speeds less than 5m/s
• the microphone should be placed about 1.3 – 1.5 meter above the
ground
• in the direction of the presumed sound source
