going with each student and teacher until we get to the end of the circle.

5. Possible activities to be included:

a. The name game.
b. Question time about what we know about space, what do we want to know more
about space, what specific topic, etc.
c. Concept mapping about information that we know
d. Have the students draw a picture about space and the topic that children want to
go more in depth about.

6. Possible questions to ask: What do we already know about space? What do you want to
know about space? (Are there stars and planets there? How do they float in space?)

8. Materials-- List all: Big sheet of paper to write down answers and questions. Markers.
Post it notes (for the concept map?)

9. Assessment
a. How will you assess the children’s learning? --We will be assessing to see what
the student’s previous knowledge is going into teaching about space or the
specific topic that the students want to talk about.
b. When children are drawing pictures about space, we will have them draw a
picture about the topic they choose. They will only draw what they know so we
will be able to get a pre-assessment about what they already know.
