    Activity 3-1: Scenario — Equipment Failure

    Purpose To provide participants with a situation that could occur in a laboratory that does
    not follow an equipment maintenance protocol.

    Time

    Scenario “The reader fails while performing ELISA / EIA tests. There isn’t a
    documented procedure for troubleshooting, the maintenance log has not
    been updated for 2 years, and the manufacturer’s instructions are
    missing.”
