Portfolio Artifact Description: Graffiti Painting- Using a paint program to draw and create a
new picture.

What You Learned: This project was a fun way of getting to know our mean gruesome side.
With the paint program you are able to draw any which way you would like, you can use a
Marker, a color pencil, a pen, or brush. Something that I had to get used to using or should I say
not using was the eraser, the eraser was not one of my favorite tools to use. Getting to use the
color circle and creating my own colors was a great way to make my graffiti more unique, it was
easy getting the colors I created to show on the main screen and to use them. One of the things i
had difficulty what making the sharp teeth, hand drawing them took me a while to try to get them
to look sharp, using the straight line took what a lot easer to use. It took me some time to color it
all in until I made the picture a little larger and moved the drawing utensil to a thinker line,
coloring in small parts at a time at a larger scale helped with getting the lines a little straighter
and getting the image cleaner with the details. The fictional story was a great way to get really
creative and to create a story about what the picture means.

Application of Skills Learned for the Future: This would be a great way to have fun with your
students. The students would be able to use their imaginations and creativity to create anything
they want. Using a base picture as yourself is a great way to get the creativity flowing, this can
also be a great way to start the students with writing assignments. Having the students create a
fiction story that goes along with the students painting, is a great way to practice their writing
skills, and have fun while doing it.
