PARTNERSHIP DEVELOPMENT OFFICER

ActionAid Pakistan (AAPk) is currently seeking qualified and experienced applicants to fill the above mentioned
position based in its Country Office – Islamabad. Details of the position are:

Core Responsibilities:  
It is a middle level position reporting to the Manager Projects. Partnership Development Officer is expected to contribute
to the cause of AAPk by providing expertise in fundraising activities, assessing project feasibilities and ensuring timely
reporting to donors.

• Ensure that project proposals are based on valid, verifiable facts and assumptions.
• Support Resource Mobilization unit in developing partnership development strategy and to develop an ethical
framework for seeking funds through a participatory and consultative approach, i.e. consultations with the
Country Director and other AAPk staff
• Assess project feasibility, costs and benefits prior to commitment to potential donors in accordance with
established decision making criteria.
• Coordinate with ActionAid Pakistan Program and Finance Units to ensure that the project proposals are
complete and accurate in all respects and ensure timely submission to donors.
• Timely submission of narrative and financial reports to donors as per donor’s reporting formats and guidelines.
• Coordinate with ActionAid Regional and International levels to ensure that project proposals are submitted on
timely basis and fulfil all requirements.
• Liaison, coordinate and correspond with institutional donors, trusts and foundations and maintain good working
relations.
• Provide support in preparation of 3 year plans for the Partnership Development Unit
• Organize and conduct staff training programs on project proposal development, resource mobilization, logical
framework analysis and budgeting
• Organize and manage the Immersions programme of AAPk and undertake the associated activities.
• Interface and interact with related departments/units and ensure smooth operation of the Project by the partners
at the local and national level.
• Develop sustainable institutional relationships with other implementing partners, DA Coordinators and other
related units and relevant departments.

Candidate Profile: 
ƒ Masters Degree in Social Sciences or other relevant disciplines.
ƒ 3-5 years of relevant experience.
ƒ Good Understanding Of Rights Based Approach;
ƒ Analytical skills and good interpersonal communication skills.
ƒ Computer and report writing skills.
ƒ Planning & budgeting skills
ƒ Project Proposal Writing skills
ƒ Monitoring & Evaluation skills
ƒ Exposure/ability to work in a diversified multicultural set-up.
