GENERAL REQUIREMENTS OF ASSIGNMENTS

1.1 Introduction
This guide is intended to assist the students in the preparation of their assignments in
terms of format and writing conventions.

1.2 Language
The assignments should be written in English ONLY. There should be consistency in
the use of the language, especially the spelling style (American or British), throughout
the assignments. The Roman alphabet should be used unless otherwise required by the
discipline.

1.3 Technical Specification

Printing should be done on a letter-quality or laser printer. Only the original word-
processed copy of assignments or its good and clean photocopies will be accepted. The
submitted copy should be free of materials used to correct mistakes such as correcting
fluids.

1.3.1 Number of Pages

The number of pages should not exceed 30 pages. It excluded the list of content
and also bibliography/references.

1.3.2 Page Layout

The text should be presented in the portrait layout. The landscape layout may be
used for figures and tables.

1.3.3 Typeface and Font Size

The entire text of the assignments, including headings and page numbers, must
be produced with the same font or typeface. The font size should be 12-point
and should not be scripted or italicized except for scientific names and terms in a
different language. Bold print may be used for headings. Footnotes and text in
tables should not be less than 8-point. Some fonts appropriate for assignments
include: Arial, Book Antiqua, Bookman, Palatino, Tahoma and Times New
Roman.

1.3.4 Margins
The left margins should be at least 30mm and the right, top and bottom margins
at least 25mm. margin specifications are meant to facilitate binding and
trimming. All information (text headings, footnotes and figures), including page
numbers, must be within the text area.

1.3.5 Spacing
The assignments should be typed double-spaced, with one space between
paragraphs and sections.

1.4 Instructions
The assignments as follows:

Over the decades, tourism has experienced continued growth and deepening
diversification to become one of the fastest growing economic sectors in the
world and indirectly will give positive impact to the Hotel Sector.

The above statement by UNTWO had concluded that Tourism Industry

is important to the Hotel Sector. Student is required to propose 10
suggestion that we should apply to promote the Tourism Sector in
Malaysia to be more competitive in the world.

1.5 Submission of Assignments

1.5.1 Assignment need to be submits on the TEN (10) weeks of the semester.

1.5.2 This assignment would carry 10% of your carry marks.

DEDUCTION of marks will be happen for those who submit their assignments late from the expected date.
