We may think that travelling all the time is fun, but eventually we will discover that east or

west, home is the best. Why would home be the best one might ask. Home is where we share our
feelings, where we laugh or cry. We always know that the people in your home would trust and
protect us. As the Chinese proverb says, east or west, home is the best! There is no other way to
describe home as a place that we once lived there for ages. One would miss to sleep in their
comfortable couch and bed. Being away from home is just different compared to home.

Firstly, home is the best because home is considered as a place where we were grow up,
which refers to our childhood memories, toys, favourite dishes, and traditions. Sometimes,
international students while in the middle of the school day, they have an unrestrained desire to go
home. They close their eyes and see unforgettable images like a kitchen, a cosy bedroom, a living
room, a bathroom, or soft carpet under their feet. Generally, these images are the houses of our
grandparents or parents where the family gathers and have a wonderful time together. Home brings
back warm memories about the childhood and family holidays. Even music may make you think
about home. These are the things that any person may miss when he is away from home for
educational reasons.

Secondly, it is the place where we grow up and live. It is the place where we live, keep our
properties, have a rest, receive guests, spend leisure, eat, drink, and watch television. We come
home after a hard day, take a bath, lie on the sofa and do anything we want, we have freedom of
actions. In such a house you feel comfortable, you come back to the house willingly and with great
desire. For someone it may be a huge cottage, or a house at the seaside, for others a tiny one room
flat with a kitchen. The size of your home does not mean anything. The things inside it mean all. It
should be connected with physical state in which we feel mentally relaxed.

Thirdly, studying abroad would make us crave food from home. Who doesn’t miss their
home cuisines. One would find it tough to survive consuming foods that they never ate before in the
west and east. Nevertheless, looking for one is also quite tough as it is expensive. No matter how
delicious the foods are on the west and east, mum’s home cook is always the best. Mum’s cooking
contains a secret explosive that will make us crave more of her cooking.

In conclusion, being at home is better than being at the west and east as nothing is better
than home because it is where we once lived and carved memories onto.
