Starry Night by Vincent Van Gogh, 1889

One of the five most famous paintings in the world’s modern culture,
Starry Night is widely considered to be Van Gogh’s magnum opus.
Painted in 1889, the masterpiece was made from memory and
whimsically depicts the view from Gogh’s room at the sanatorium he
resided in at the time. The original art is currently housed in the
Museum of Modern Art in New York.
