The

following is a partial list of the groups and organizations that benefit from the
proceeds of the Run for Sight.

• Kentucky Lions Eye Foundation -- eye surgeries performed, funded chair research group,
one of the premier ophthalmology service centers in the country

• Eyeglasses for needy persons, eye research, eye banks, screening and treatment

• Visually Impaired Pre-school (VIPS) -- Meeting a goal of screening all pre-school children
in Kentucky for amblyopia and strabismus (lazy eye).

• Support for Camp Crescendo in Lebanon Junction, Kentucky, which provides camps for
blind, visually impaired, deaf/hard of hearing, medical and mental disabilities, plus
children in foster care.

• Central Kentucky Radio Eye which broadcasts to visually and physically handicapped
listeners the daily news and stories from newspapers and other printed material.

• Lions Clubs International Foundation---Disaster relief for hurricanes, earthquakes,
floods, fires, and other disasters.

• Kentucky Lions Eye Bank – acquires and distributes corneas and eye parts for repair and
research with other eye banks and hospitals.

• Camp Sunshine – Providing for and assisting in the “Leader Dogs for the Blind” project.
