- Happens in El Pitillal , across a cruise ship terminal

Festival Gourmet Internacional de Puerto Vallarta

- 10 days long in November


- Hosts many national chefs + 20 guest chefs from international restaurants
- Gourmet cooking classes, sunset wine tasting, gourmet meala
- Founded in 1995, thousands of individuals attend yearly

Food

Chilaquiles

- Traditional breakfast dish


- Lightly fried corn tortillas cut into quarters
- Green or red salsa
- w/ scrambled eggs or fried eggs & chicken topped with cheese and cream
- often served with frijoles (refried beans)

Guacamole

- dates back to the time of the Aztecs


- made from mashed up avocados, onions, tomatoes, lemon juice, and chilli peppers
- eaten as a side dish or with tortilla chips

Chiles en nogada

- patriotic dish
- has the three colours of mexico flag
- Green: poblano chillies filled with picadillo (mix of chopped meat, fruit & spices)
- Red: pomegranate seeds
- White: walnut based cream sauce
- was first served to Don Agustin de Iturbide, liberator and subsequent Emperor of
Mexico

Los Arcos Amphitheater

- outdoor theatre
- backed by Los Arcos, a row of arches that has become a symbol pf the city

La Bodeguita del Medio

- walls are scrawled with hand written poetics & inanities in several languages
