How to check the PIM test on NodeB LMT:

Step1:

Monitor Board RTWP, RRU/RFU output power, FFT frequency scan for the same RFU/RRU,
set the windows as vertical. FFT frequency scan Mode set to ”Broadband online ”.

Step2:

Star PIM on traffic test, MML command as bellow. This test is online test, no impact on
traffic.
STR RFTEST: TSTTYPE=PIMONTRAFFIC_ONLINE, CN=*, SRN=*, SN=*;

Step3:

If you see the phenomenon like type1, it have PIM interference.

If you see the phenomenon like type2, it don’t have PIM interference.

Type1:
RTWP increase as the output power increase , RTWP decrease as the output power
decrease.
Main spectrum have a ramp when RTWP is high, this ramp caused by PIM interference.
Type2:
RTWP NO change when output power changed.
Both main and diversity spectrum don’t have ramp.

Step4:

Block the ULOCELL of F4 U900 cell, then check the RTWP of F5 U900 cell, if it goes down, also
mean PIM exist
Block the ULOCELL of F5 U900 cell, then check the RTWP of F4 U900 cell, if it goes down, also
mean PIM exist
Command:
BLK ULOCELL: ULOCELLID=*,PRI=HIGH;
