Story of Devotion

Ms. Aiza P. Valle has been a devotee of the Ina while she was still young. She is a native
of Caramoan, to a barangay near Tabgon where a large image of the Blessed Mother is to be
found. Her family would always visit the shrine and pray to her for intercession. When she took
his elementary and high school at Garchitorena, her devotion was further strengthened as she
become active in the organizations for the youth in the parish. Now in college, she is part of the
Campus Ministry. All of these made up her devotion to Our Lady of Peñafrancia. She is devoted
because of the countless blessings she has been receiving through Ina’s help. She would see to
it that she ask for Ina’s intercession whenever she would pray to God. She believes that the
prayers she made would be answered fast when it passed through Ina. Her devotion is being
manifested in her day to day life. As a youth, he would join in civic activities which would help
people in the community. She believes that devotion should not stop to her but be spread to
other people. Through helping the people, her love for Ina is also shown. She told me that she is
practicing Truth, Freedom, Justice, and Love in her day to day life. One example she could give
is when she render service to the community. She do it out of love and being just to other
people. Her parents told her to be truthful at all times and that is why she is practicing it
always.

“a STUDENT for INA”

Name: Jorell Ariola

Address: San Jose, PIli, Camarines Sur

Contact Number: 09215703459

Story of Devotion

Mr. Jorell Ariola is a 4th year student Nursing Student of the Universidad de Sta. Isabel.
His devotion to Our Lady of Peñafrancia started when he was still a child. He was once a student
of the Naga Parochial School, and thus was taught to have this devotion to the blessed mother.
During the mass, he told me that he had been a part of the choir during one of the Traslacion
Masses while he was still in elementary. His parents also had this devotion to the blessed
mother, thus the devotion was also shared to him being their child. Being a part of a religious
organization in the school also added up to the fire of devotion to his heart. As a student, he
always ask for Ina’s intercession whenever he pray for help to the Father. He would pray to Ina
to help him during exams and in times of problems. For this year, his petition is to attend
graduation this school year and pass the board exam after which. His devotion was manifested
in his day to day living by being a good son to his parents and a good student nurse to his
patients. As a fourth year student, most of his school time is on intensive hospital exposure.
Being a devotee of our mother, seeing her as a model, he would see to it that he do good deeds
to his patients. Being a good son also to his parents is also being like Jesus to her mother. Yes,
he said that he is practicing the values of Truth, Freedom, Justice and Love. One example he
could give is the aforementioned scenario of being patient advocate. He always sees to it that
the nursing care he renders to his clients in the hospital or even in the community is rooted in
these four virtues.
