(Jaksa Ivancevic)

Other side
I watched him again, as I’ve always done,
Always in his sight but away from everyone.
He knows not of my existence, let alone my name
Never tries too see if there is life within this frame.
Everything I do is just the same as he
He doesn’t even care, even though he can see
That as much as I am him, he is also me.
By his actions I’m effected ,
Even though its undetected,
Were in body and soul connected.
Still he doesn’t know and care
Nor is he aware that in front of my stare
His soul is laid bare.
In his eyes are all the cries
And his mouth is filled with lies
Covered in skin as a disguise.
But, even if I know it all, his soul I’ll never sell.
His secrets never tell
For all his sins are mine as well.
And so I’ll watch him till his death,
Watch him as he’s grown
Watch him till his last breath
Which will also be my own…
(And so sang the reflection in the mirror)

Memento Mori
Memento mori

Takav je zivot u ovom varvarskom blatu

cekajuci i zadnji plamen da izgori
Grabiti se za jos jedno zrno u pjescanom satu
Dok u glavi odjekuje ''memento mori''.

Pearls and Dreams

Of all the worlds in one it seems,

That their pearls contain the dreams
Of people who laugh and smile bright
And those who cry and struggle at night.
Swirling colors in a ball of glass
Changing the scenery as nights pass
Fields of grass and castles of stone
Or dungeons with demons, chilling the bones.
Joy or fear in hearts they strike
Containing dreams and nightmares alike.
Though peoples eyes never wondered
It was no surprise that one man pondered
At midnight inside the mist of greed
He broke the glass and did the deed,
Blinded by the glow of the nightmare that he freed/
It grew like a seed with darkness untold
And as shadows unfold the world grew cold.
It was not a sage or a witch or a mage
Just a simple man releasing evil from its cage.
Souls left with no words to say
Desperately watched the fading day
Consumed by shadows and turning gray.
With the last ray and their cry
To the light they said goodbye.
But to be honest the dawn is never promised.
Its the light inside that can fill the air
And guide the way out of despair.
Thats why with tears streaming
In a bed of sadness and sorrow
Lays somebody dreaming
Of a better tomorrow.
Hours pass, the night is trough.
A pearl of glass, split in two...

The world a nightmare did devour
And was saved by the dreams light shed
So don't underestimate the power
Of the dreams inside your head.

Mind

Oh darkness, although cold and deep

You're the best place for me to sleep.
Clad in stardust and dreams of rust,
The nails are old but made of trust.
The ever dripping sands of time.
Don't they move slower for you and I?
Lost souls pass us in drops of rain
Like a spoken word or strong ink stain
I swear their stories keep me sane.
For even wines of gold and glitter
By themselves will still taste bitter.
But these drops, as they wither.
Quench my thirst, little by little.
And when the outside gets too blurred
We make up windows to a new world.
Sit and rest when our hands get sore
Waiting for the sound of an open door.
Replaying old tunes and melodies
With notes crafted from our memories.
Reminiscing about how we've grown
And while I touch my scar of stone
Please remind me that I sit alone.
Not turning on the Moon that sits
Fearing the echo of fingerprints.
Ah, i'm tired with no real burden...
Again i'll rest in your curtain.
So darkness, although cold and deep
You're the best place for me to sleep

Again resisting to switch on the light
Tonight I won't, but tomorrow I might.

Conversations

Soft warm light opens the ball

A masquerede to fool us all
The violins start, the dance begins
My first partner with her brings
A demon mask that hides her face
All to protect her fragile grace
But what gives her off
Is her warm embrace
And the way she dances
At a slow pace
Left snd right the waltz ends
And I set my sight
On the girl that stands
With an angel mask
Wings long and thin
Made to hide the beast within
No hesitation, we dive right in
A tango of lust with movements of sin
A saintly presence but her fire burns
Its all in the way she twists and turns
Twist and turn I swing and sway
Towards the next girl
That comes my way
A fast rhythm towards me brings
A girl whose lips are sealed with strings
And who would have thought
Of all things
That under her mask
She constantly sings
Bored by her disguise
And tired of the lies

I avert my eyes towards the Moon that was soon to rise
I finish the dance through and through
And go to see the balconies view
I expected the heavens but instead I saw you
I bow you stand
While I kiss your hand
I rise with the night and you say with the Moon in sight
That you want no lies
Underneath its light
The Moon it glows
The time it slows
And we start a dance that no one knows
My hand your back
Two masks one crack
Under nights cloak too soon to tell
Which one broke and which one fell
No need to mention
Our smiles so clear
While we grabbed the attention
Of everyone near
But who could blame them
For their surprise
How could they have known,
That while they danced the dance of lies,
We would create our own?
And in that dance long and heated
We lost our masks,
We never needed.
