Bridge Construction
Problem Statement:
Design a Bridge using Popsicle sticks (ice cream sticks) satisfying the stated constraints.
Conditions:
1. You can only use Popsicle sticks, adhesive, string. Organizers would provide
dimensions for wooden platform and trolley at the time of competition.
2. Synthetic white adhesive can only be used to build the structure.
3. Overlapping of sticks while pasting on each other should not be more than 50 %
4. Holes can be used as mounting units for bridge.
5. Team size: THREE.
Dimensions:
1. Width of the deck: Min 10 cm, Max 12 cm.
2. Stick: Maximum length 113 mm, width 10 mm and thickness 1.5 mm (It can be cut
to any shape or size).
3. Bridge should be fixed in to the base provided by arghya team.
4. Top view of base of the bridge is as shown in figure below
5. Diameter of string: Max 1 mm.
6. Holes are 5 cm * 5 cm and depth of hole is 5 cm.
7. Height of deck from surface of base should be 30 cm excluding depth of holes
