National Philosophy of Education stated that education in Malaysia is an ongoing effort towards further
developing the potential of individuals in a holistic and integrated to produce a balanced and harmonious
intellectually, spiritually, emotionally and physically by faith and devotion to God. According to Section 2 of the
Ministry of Education, preschool means the educational program of students aged from 4-6 years. Specific policy
implemented allows children to enjoy preschool education opportunities regardless of family income,
demographic, ethnic groups and children with special needs. Every child has the same opportunity to learn. It is
enshrined in the basic principles of the policy where preschool classes organized by government agencies should
be coordinated by the Ministry of Education.

Active play is one of the teaching and learning techniques that are used to educate children. This is because the
play is the natural ordinary children. Thus, this technique gives pleasure and satisfaction for children. Learning
through active play different impact on gender, especially for boys than girls. Caplan and Caplan (1973), stated
that the main determinant for the development of the personality, creativity, emotional stability, intellectual and
physical fitness that involves coordination and disciple. Play helps language development and thinking (Vygotsky,
1967). This statement is true because children express their feelings of stress and suffered them in facing the real
world.
Some teachers, play depict violent themes that can be used as an option and some other teachers suggest that
external factors influence the occurrence of any dramatic game click degrees. Mary & Hattie (2008) recorded 78%
of teachers reported that their coursework and training in Early Childhood Education is the biggest influences
their attitude towards the game dramatically. Active play is closely related to physical activity that involves
activities in and outside the classroom either alone, with friends or family. Even before the child begins to move,
they have begun to play. The more they get older, more and more skills and opportunities for active play. Active
play is important to children. This is because the activities do provide many benefits to children include
encouraging growth and socio-emotional skills.

At the age of kindergarten, children begin to try a variety of games including rough play by imitating others or
even their own game. As a result, children do not have limitations because of their rough play, they just play and
build experience by exploring and trying new things. Therefore, teachers need to be smart to lay out the
classroom so that the children comfortable to learn and perform activities mainly play while learning. Munoz
(2006) state organization appropriate level classroom in daily time schedules, especially at the preschool. Rough
play should be limited so that boys and girls can play together without incurring excessive violence. Gender boys
and girls will influence the types of activities they perform, and due to the rough play must have a limit so that
children have an equal right to play. In fact, no doubt, have the effect of rough play in the formation of the
personality and behavior of children. Therefore, teachers need to supervise the children so that they do not make
mistakes that should not have happened because all that children need is an active play, not rough play.
