Suggestions

Based on the result of this research, several suggestions can be drawn at

least for the English teachers, the school, the students, the writer and other

researchers as elaborated in this following section:

1. The school

The result of the research gave information about to what extent the

impulsive and reflective students correlate to visual aids such as picture-

series and diagrams on writing skill in which the research shows that

reflective students learned much better by using picture-series and

diagrams. Thus, in the future the school can provide the students with the

English writing program and the development of students’ reflectivity on

writing skill. In English writing program, school needs to hold some

competition such as writing poem, short story, and wall magazine

annually. In development of students’ reflectivity, school provide trainning

for students to write carefully by considering the writing aspects in which

the principle asks teachers to guide the students.

2. English Teachers

The result of this research can be used by the English teachers as one

of alternative media to improve their students’ writing skill. In addition,

the result of this research enables the English teachers to understand about

their own students either impulsive or reflective. It is highly expected that

the teachers might consider students’ cognitive learning style before

implementing visual aids, especially students’ reflctivity because the data

showed that reflective students improve the students’ writing skill in both

using picture-series and diagrams classes because two visual aids are

indicated better on improving students’ writing skill for reflective students.

3. The students

The result of the research gave formative and accurate information

about students’ writing skill score. Therefore, it is highly expected that

they are able to more eager to actively improve their writing skill

autonomously and guided by the teachers by rehearsal opportunities,

exposing themselves through listening aand reading. In addition, for the

students and other similar senior high school students should be introduced

with the terms and implementation of picture-series, diagrams and

reflectivity to improve their writing skill.

4. Other Researchers

The result of the research provided some informative inputs to

conduct another investigation in the same field with certain interest. The

other researchers might investigate in the same field. However, there is

one thing to be considered for the further researcher who is interested in

conduction research with the same topic. That is the amount of the

population and samples should be adequate enough. The sufficient

numbers of samples would give better representation of the overall

population. In addition, other researchers might see other factors on

improving students’ writing skill such as anxiety, field-dependence and

independence, self-esteem or motivation.
