Time : 8.40 am – 9.40 am
Theme : World of Knowledge/ World of Stories
Topic : Unit 6: Splashes of colours; Helping Hands
Main Skills : Writing
Integrated Skills : Listening, Speaking and Reading.
Learning Objectives:
2.3.1 Name and identify things
3.4.2 Read aloud sentences in text observing correct stress and intonation
4.3.2 Construct simple sentences and compound sentences.

Learning Outcomes: By the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to:
i. identify and state the names of colours.
ii. spell the names of the colours correctly.
iii. read and understand a story by answering 5 questions based on the pictures and
the story.
iv. construct 5 sentences based on the pictures given.

Activities:
1. Teacher gives several balloons with different colours to pupils and asks pupils to move and find
their friends with the same colours of balloons. Teacher asks pupils to spell and write their colours
on the black board. Teacher introduces the topic and write on the black board “SPLASHES OF
COLOURS”
2. Teacher gets a few pupils to read the story. Teacher talks about the story with pupils.
3. Pupils write at least 10 names of the colours they have learned.
4. Teacher asks pupils to complete puzzle and construct 5 sentences correctly.

Previous Knowledge : Pupils already know the colours of rainbow.
