As a veterinarian, I like to understand why things work or do not work and how
I can apply insights of human medicine into veterinary medicine. In our own use
of oils we discovered that lavender and cedarwood helped to calm our dog. This
is done by diluting the essential oils and applying them to our hands and then
rubbing them on her paws and behind her ears. We found that our dog loved to
