EXERCISES with SO am/do/have etc.

I SO +verb SUBJECT;
MODEL 1.Example: The table is dirty. The chair is dirty, too = SO is the chair.
1.The girl is neat and tidy. (boy) 2.The floor is dirty (blackboard). 3.The ruler is in the bag.(rubber). 4. The poster is on the wall. (picture). 5.Peter is
absent. (Philip). 6.The teacher is at the blackboard (pupil). 7. My sister is late (my brother).
MODEL II: Nick and Tom are present. (I) – So am I.

MODEL III: The blackboard is clean. (desks) - So are the desks.

NEGATIVE SENTENCE, either = NEITHER +VERB /am, is, are, do, did, have etc./ SUBJECT
Example: Lily's and Peter's notebooks aren't here = Lily's notebook isn't here. Peter's notebook isn't here EITHER.
NEITHER/NOR is Peter's
MODEL V: A: Prep B's classroom isn't tidy. ( C ) - Prep C's classroom isn't tidy EITHER. / NEITHER is Prep C's classroom.
1.Nick's bag isn't big. (Nelly). 2.Our schoolyard isn't large. (their). 3.The buildings on the left aren't new. (on the right). 4.My mother's village isn't

MODEL VII: A: Where is Nick? Isn't he here? - B: No, he isn't. - A:And George? - B. He isn't EITHER. / NEITHER is he. Use the
following words:
1.Mother – in the house – Father. 2.Your English teacher – in the schoolyard – Mary. 2.Your English exercise book – in your bag – textbook. 3.The
maps of Bulgaria – in your room – maps of England. 5.Your guests – in the hotel – their friends.

Exercise VIII: Use SO or EITHER/NEITHER. 1.This dog isn't black. (cat). 2.Your exercise book is very tidy. (George's and Nina's). 3.Alice is

Exercise IX.: USE so OR either/neither. Mind the possessive case!
